Kia's Battle to Halt Bone Loss From Cancer
Bone loss and cancer are so strongly correlated it is referred to as “cancer induced bone loss.”
Cancer was not the first hurdle I ever had to face. Growing up in Iran I was not encouraged to be physical active. As a young woman I would get “cat-calls” and discouraging remarks. I remember waking up at 5 AM just to be able to go for bike rides. I thought to myself that if I could become fit, I could also overcome cancer.
My co-workers recommended the MelioGuide Exercise for Better Bones Program to ensure I do not have to face another negative hurdle.
The MelioGuide Program was designed to minimize negative stresses on the spine and hips while maximizing the necessary stresses for bone and muscle building.
The program reinforces my fighting spirit. I know that even if exercising doesn’t feel great at the time it always makes me feel better afterwards. I like the consequences of being active!
